The recklessness of violent messaging toward MAPs

Attacking MAPs online is now a very popular pastime, especially on social media platforms like YouTube, Substack, and X. Comments typically include references to woodchippers, suicide-baiting, and even explicit threats. Many people make these comments under their real names, showing their real faces.
It shouldn't be treated as an acceptable form of behavior.
Given that MAPs are a vulnerable group - likely a major reason why the bullies enjoy targeting us - this feels rather disingenuous. If the goal is to push someone vulnerable over the edge, it's vital to consider what that might entail. Why? Because when someone is made to feel they have nothing left to lose, they may indeed kill themselves, which would cause a lot of pain to friends and family as well as the individual. Furthermore, they may reasonably conclude there's no point or choice in trying to be a respectable member of society. This comes with a variety of potential consequences.
Let's talk about just one of the possible outcomes.
I left my country of origin partly because I was so angry about MAP oppression that I was terrified of what I might do in response. Not to myself and not to children, but to those who attack us. I genuinely believe that individuals who bully MAPs would be better off dead. They wish that of us, even telling us to commit suicide and encouraging others to find and kill us, with absolute impunity from social media platforms and the authorities. Before leaving, I was very close to giving them a dose of the violence they constantly demand to be used against us. Frankly, I don't think that would have been wrong; at least, not beyond any indirect harm to their loved ones, which is not something our detractors consider when attacking us. It would simply have been a response in kind, perhaps even a warning of sorts.
I obviously made the right choice in simply leaving. Violence has very clear consequences, even when it's morally justified. I don't recommend it.
I'm now far away from the awful country in which I grew up. I enjoy working as a teacher, and I have a group of YFs. As such, the online hate I receive is more an example to point at than a source of stress. However, I doubt I've been the only MAP who has ever felt the way I did before I left. There must be a lot of people stewing the way I was, unable to leave for whatever reason, and feeling constantly hounded by all the violent anti-MAP content they see online. I imagine it's only a matter of time before we see another Nicholas Prosper. And when it inevitably happens, those who post the "woodchipper" and "kill yourself" comments will be just as culpable as the man who was pushed over the edge by them. They will have blood on their hands.
If you would like to make these evil people face consequences without resorting to violence, please help with my appeal to take them down. We can't give them what they truly deserve, but we can still make them regret their actions.
