Priorities

/ meta, personal

Somebody recently sent an e-mail asking if they'd upset me. They were concerned because I hadn't replied to them. Quite understandably so. The reality is that I have not been spending a lot of time on MAP community projects in the past couple of weeks.

Reasons

Let me explain why I have been less active.

Three 'jobs'

As I've written prior, I have been trying to juggle three 'jobs'. They include teacher, MAP activist, and adult friend to a group of boys. It might sound fun from the outside, but in reality it's impossible to give each the attention they deserve. I only have so much energy, and I don't want to neglect my students or young friends.

No support

I've repeatedly asked for people to help out by posting my content on social media. Most recently, I requested that someone share a link to my exposé on a mental health advocate who sold photos of a celebrity allegedly visiting MAP support service LifeLine. Nobody helped out. The administrator of one site where I asked did post a comment on the relevant YouTube video... without referencing my article.

Likewise, I had a great story that I wanted to leak. The source insisted I must wait for them to do something before I could share. Sadly, they couldn't be bothered to do that one thing, and so the story was lost.

If nobody else is going to make an effort, I'm not going to prioritize MAP activism. It can't be a one-man war.

Just let the west rot

I don't live in the west. I won't ever go back. I have been persisting with fighting western hysteria partly because it's simply wrong, partly because I don't wish to see the cancer spread, and also out of anger and spite.

I would love to see an asteroid thoroughly eviscerate every western country. The majority of its people are simply beyond any sort of hope or redemption. I'm aware of how extreme that sounds, but if you knew how much I suffered there, you might just understand. I left because I feared I might have translated my anger into action had I stayed.

Reading through all the bullshit coming from the west is damaging to one's mental health, and there's really no need to do it from here. It makes more sense to focus on my young friends, and to keep my distance from the insanity of the west.

Comments

I've been asked why comments have been disabled. The reason for sudden disablement is that someone has been trying to exploit the modified comments plugin, and that led to the discovery of a bug. A replacement comments system with greater functionality was in the works. However, I put in a request for that work to stop because I no longer want the commitment of checking comments every day. Comments will not be returning.

The future

Here is what I intend in the short term.

Plans for BrianRibbon.com

For now, I will still occasionally update this site with aggressive commentary, insights, and leaks. If you have a great story, let me know. My e-mail address is posted on the About Brian page.

You can expect posts to be less frequent.

Plans for Map-union.org

I do plan to resume some work on Mu, sporadically writing less aggressive articles that are more acceptable to a wider audience. I don't want that resource to die, especially given it has greater implied credibility than a personal blog.

I'll continue to assist with Mu's forum, although I don't intend to make regular posts.

LifeLine and e-mail replies

I will remain a volunteer at LifeLine, but without a regular schedule. Mental health support and suicide prevention is incredibly important for MAPs.

I will try my best to reply to e-mails, though I ask people not to be offended if I take a long time to respond; it doesn't mean you've upset me or that I don't care about you.

Quick summary

I plan to keep writing articles and supporting other MAPs, but my activity will be notably reduced. This is a consequence of prioritizing the children I know in real life, my frustration with the sheer laziness and indifference of large swathes of the MAP community, and the reality that the west is simply too far gone.
