Laughing at the angry white lady
After getting back from work yesterday, exhausted from a day of teaching sixth grade (nah, I love them really), I logged into Yesmap's activist chat only to be met with the following warning:
You better sit up and TAKE NOTICE... KELLI HOLLIS is ON YOUR CASE!
Some woman had made a TikTok about me and she was not happy!

Outrage!
Naturally, like anyone else, my first thought was "who the hell is Kelli Hollis?". A quick peruse of her Wikipedia page clarified the matter slightly. In summary, a washed up TV actress who now sells pot in Thailand while posting ridiculous boomer rants on TikTok? Having apparently specialized in playing working class white people on TV, she certainly seems... a natural fit for her former roles. Indeed, one of the words in the news story she quoted was just a little too long for her. When she tried to read it a second time further down the article, and said she couldn't, I have nagging doubts that she was only speaking figuratively. Expressions like "this fucking dickhead" are apparently more a staple for the classy lady than "stigmatization" (or "stigmatation", as she pronounces it), and downright hilarious when directed at you with her classic 'Greggs sausage roll' British accent.
Anyway, the angry white woman has got herself pretty worked up about the activism I've done for Mu, specifically my defense of MAP Camp. It was quite the story in 2024, not surprisingly given the sheer horror of a group of MAPs planning to get together to drink beers and roast marshmallows. The concept of non-violent MAPs in particular was too much for Kelli to process in her little rant, because how could one imagine the evil pedophiles not dragging children off the streets kicking and screaming? Impossible when MAPs exist in a vacuum of pure evil and wanton maliciousness.
Another issue that upset our beautiful queen - not to mention her followers who were rather busy in the comments section - is my choice of career. Yes, it's true that I'm a pedophile and also a teacher, and that makes a lot of people uneasy. But should it make them uneasy? Straight men are generally able to work with women without descending into crazed sprees of sexual violence, and the same is true for MAPs. I put massive effort into my job; way more than the majority of teachers, many of whom don't seem to like children even in 'the right way'. My students get all of the benefits of having someone who likes kids quite a lot, without any downsides. I even talk to them like people, unlike a lot of the Kelli-style Karen teachers who treat students as if they're an annoying and unfortunate burden.
Glass houses
It's quite amusing that Kelli should seek to attack people over the appropriateness of their online commentary, while as a dirt-tier 'celebrity' she insists on posting anti-immigrant content and Covid-19 conspiracies in between shots of her daily life and thoroughly nauseating cooking. Personally, I'm no fan of 'canceling' people, but in a world in which such is absolutely rampant, the lady is treading on thin ice. On the very same page that she posts her unhinged rants, she provides e-mail contact for the talent agency representing her: WGM Atlantic. I'm sure they would not approve of some of her very public political commentary.
Furthermore, Kelli and her husband operate a cannabis shop and bar in Thailand, a country which has introduced tough new restrictions in what is essentially the recriminalization of recreational use. Many Thai owners likely have 'connections' in order to work out any issues, but one doubts that your average pasty-white farang would be sitting quite so smug should someone send in a little tip. Making enemies on social media is not exactly a great idea when you're openly dealing drugs in Thailand.
